The one who crossed the room

Love isn’t love if denied

I saw you there, standing still,
Having flaws that made you ill.

I trembled and smiled all at once,
I knew you had issues from your last dance.

But even so, I decided to dare,
I felt something greater deep inside,
Don’t know if I was aware,
But now it makes sense, love is not love if
denied.

You were so beautiful in and out,
Then I realized you were the missing piece, I
couldn’t live without.

Only outside beauty, I was able to see,
When you crossed that room like a honeybee.

Long hair, brown eyes, lips like cherries,
I’ve melted all at once.
I would’ve given my life to start a dance.

You were wearing a black little dress,
You crossed your hand through your hair,
Asked me to sit down and only stare,
How you’re getting all you wanted from your
affair.
I barely remember the rest, I was just a mess.
